The short version: use the tool freely for your own work — your subtitle files and everything you export stay yours. We provide the software as-is, without warranty. Paid plans are sold through Creem, who handle billing, taxes and refunds.
By using timecodalab.glocalwhale.com (the "service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
The service is a browser-based utility for inspecting and repairing subtitle timing: shifting, stretching, frame-rate retiming, guideline checks and export between SRT, WebVTT, ASS and related formats. All processing happens locally in your browser. A free tier is available; some features (batch processing, batch ZIP export, CSV/JSON report export) require a paid Pro licence.
You keep all rights to the subtitle files you open and to everything you export. We claim no licence over your content, because we never receive it. You are responsible for having the right to use the content you process.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service and its output for personal or commercial work. You may not: resell or redistribute the software itself; attempt to circumvent or defeat licence checks; scrape or clone the service in bulk; or use it to process content that is unlawful, or to infringe anyone's rights.
A Pro licence unlocks Pro features in the browser where the key is activated, and covers up to three devices at a time. Keys are personal, non-transferable, and may not be published or shared. If you reach the device limit, the Pro dialog has a "release this device" control that frees a slot so you can use another machine. A Pro licence is a licence to use the software — it is not a subscription to any hosted service, and the free tier remains free.
Paid plans are sold and processed by Creem, acting as the merchant of record. Creem is your counterparty for the purchase and handles payment, applicable taxes and refund processing. Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) at checkout.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that output will satisfy the current specification of any particular platform, broadcaster, or client. Guideline presets are offered as a convenience — always review your output before delivery.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost files or corrupted media. Our total aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (which is zero if you only used the free tier).
We may add, change or remove features at any time, and may suspend the service. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by a new "last updated" date on this page.
If you send us ideas or bug reports, we may use them without obligation or compensation to you.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of residence. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer protection rights that you have where you live.
